Andrei joined Accel in 2014 and works with teams in the areas of web3/crypto, enterprise software, developer-oriented software, open-source, security, and financial services.Over the last year, Andrei has led Accel’s investments in Sorare, which sits at the intersection of NFTs, digital collectibles and global fantasy sports, as well as Sky Mavis, the creator of play-to-earn title Axie Infinity. In addition, Andrei led Accel’s investment in Tenderly, the web3 development platform for decentralized apps, and Nansen, the leading blockchain analytics firm.Beyond web3/crypto, Andrei has led Accel’s investments and ongoing work in companies such as Ermetic, Genesis, Tessian, Raycast, Conduktor, Rasa, Rows, Checkly, Humio (acquired by CrowdStrike), Celonis, Personio, UiPath, Instana (acquired by IBM), and Monzo.Prior to Accel, Andrei spent a decade in the US and worked with Foundation Capital and KCG/Virtu, the largest equities high-frequency trading firm in the US. Previously, he helped build an algorithmic trading startup on Wall Street focused on commodity futures.
