Nicolas began his career in 2004 as a credit derivatives trader at several investment banks (Credit Suisse, Barclays, and The Royal Bank of Scotland) in London for 8 years. He then launched a startup in Brazil where he spent 6 years in charge of the technical and the supply chain aspects of the company before a successful exit at the beginning of 2019. He then moved back to Europe where he worked for Pyctor, a startup incubated at ING Labs in Amsterdam where he acted as COO and led a working group of 10 financial institutions on the topic of decentralized private key management for security tokens and crypto. Pyctor ran several pilots in the FCA sandbox in the UK to work on the legal implications for the custody of digital assets as well as laying the ground for the Travel Rule Protocol. Pyctor was sold in 2022.Since June 2022, he is the CEO of Gravity, a startup based in Paris, France and Nairobi, Kenya which promotes inclusion and equality of opportunities by empowering people to securely share private verifiable data on a need to know basis. Gravity developed a Decentralized Identity Wallet based on the Tezos Blockchain that is currently used and trusted by the United Nations and the Red Cross.He is the co-inventor of the patent on Noninteractive multi agent key management (2021).He holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from CY Tech, France (2004) and a MSc. in Mathematical Trading and Finance from Bayes Business School, City University, UK (2005). He completed the HEC Paris Challenge+ Afrique program in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire (2021-22).He is a guest lecturer on Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies at CY Tech – University of Cergy, France.
