George Calle is a Research Director at The Block where he oversees the professional services provided by The Block’s premium industry research teams. He works with crypto-native investors and businesses, alongside traditional financial institutions, that need high-quality research and credible data to identify and analyze market opportunities. Previously, George was a researcher at fintech company R3, where he led strategy forums for banks and governments evaluating blockchain technology. He also served on the investment team of MissionOG, a venture capital firm. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania where he earned a bachelors’ degree in economics and philosophy.
