SPEAKER’S PROFILE

Marc joined B2C2 in 2022 as the Chief Risk Officer to adapt & build out the Firm’s crypto risk management framework, with a particular focus on algorithmic trading. Marc oversees the Group’s risk appetite and is involved in day-to-day responsibilities for the ongoing identification, assessment, monitoring and embedding of the framework. He also chairs the Group’s Management Risk Committee, which is responsible for advising and assisting the ExCo and the Group Boards as they fulfill their oversight responsibility regarding the Firm’s risk appetite relating to financial risks (market, credit, treasury and operational risk management and wider systems and controls). Marc joined B2C2 from ITI Group, where he led S166 risk remediation requiring implementation of a new enterprise risk management framework.Prior to ITI Group, Marc served various roles at UBS Investment Bank with 20+ years’ experience managing global market risk across asset classes at UBS Investment Bank (“UBS IB”). Most recently he served as Deputy Chief Risk Officer and Chief of Staff to UBS IB CRO where he led the global risk team of 170, including direct and matrix management across 10+ locations and built out a governance, regulatory and change team. In that role he also introduced a sustainable portfolio risk management framework, formulated and implemented a clear tail hedging strategy for UBS IB and executed risk infrastructure, process efficiency, risk management framework and strategic / regulatory remediation projects. Marc holds a BSc in Production and Operations Management from the University of Nottingham.
