Carmen is UNHCR’s Treasurer, and is a Corporate Finance Professional with vast expertise in devising capital structures, directing resource allocation to meet Organizational strategic objectives. She provides leadership in using transformational technologies, blockchain for impact, to deliver humanitarian assistance, in emergency settings, together with embedded financial economic inclusion for development. Throughout her career of more than 25 years, she has worked in the private sector with blue-chip corporates and banks, as well as public sector Organizations, at the director and board level. She brings vast experience gained in a global setting of development, devising decision risk analysis and methodologies to deliver integrated solutions to financing and leading growth initiatives in developing countries and emerging markets.
