SPEAKER’S PROFILE

Patrick Martin is a seasoned entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and investment banker with a 30-year
track record of success. As the Founder and Managing Partner of European Media Finance, a family
office and investment firm, he focuses on investing in growth stage technology companies, particularly
in the FinTech, Blockchain, Web 3.0, and Direct Air Carbon Capture sectors. Patrick has co-founded
and scaled companies, raised and invested hundreds of millions in growth capital, and achieved
numerous successful exits via M&A and IPOs. His extensive investment portfolio includes over 50
companies in the blockchain, digital assets, and Web3 space.
In addition to managing his family office and its portfolio, Patrick recently assumed the role of General
Partner, Europe at Alpha Transform Holdings a high performance Web3 liquid venture fund. Patrick
also serves as a non-executive director on the boards of Uphold Europe, ITI Group, and Gravity
Energy AG. Furthermore, he is an Advisory Board Member of digital asset-focused Jewel Bank

(Bermuda) and the listed Bitcoin mining company BitMine Immersion Tech (SSHI). He is a sought-
after speaker and industry specialist on topics related to Fintech, Web3, and Blockchain.

Patrick's career journey began as a corporate lawyer. He later transitioned to become a Media and
Tech Entrepreneur, leading his first company, Helkon Media AG, to an initial public offering on the
German Neuer Markt in 1999. He is a certified German lawyer with a law degree from Ludwig
Maximilian's University, Munich, and a graduate of the PED program at IMD Business School,
Lausanne.
